EDUC Orientation Course
Prepare for your fieldwork course via the co-requisite Orientation course.
For students enrolled in EDUC 10, Introduction to Teaching and Learning, EDUC 130 Introduction to Secondary Classroom Teaching, or EDUC 20 Intro to Elementary Classroom Teaching, please plan to also enroll in the co-requisite course, EDUC 250 or EDUC 650 for Teacher Preparation Orientation. Orientation class will prepare you for your fieldwork course. You can take the course at the same time or in advance of a fieldwork course.

Information meetings are mandatory and regularly held during the Fall and Spring semesters. Please refer to the meeting schedule for dates and times. No food, drinks, or children are allowed in the room.

The Social Work program prepares students for careers in the helping professions and will allow students to complete a portion of their transferable Social Work education. This program will also help those already employed in the field to enhance their knowledge and skills. In addition, students will be provided with several personal/interpersonal skills needed to live healthy lives and deal with the stressful demands of daily living.
The Floral Design Program prepares students in a comprehensive vocational program for the Floral Industry. This program focuses on floral industry management, retail skills, and behind the scenes information. It is designed to give students a strong, basic foundation in the retail management as well as the hands-on skills of floral design, and current trends as needed for employment as a floral designer.
Topics covered include floral design floral, design history and new trends, floral identification, arrangement pricing, customer service, and conflict resolution.
