Trustee Uduak-Joe Ntuk proudly represents Uptown Long Beach on the Long Beach Community College Board of Trustees. Elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, he is the first African-American male elected to serve in this capacity since the college鈥檚 founding in 1927.

海角社区Art Gallery 2022 Art Exhibition, Oct. 27 - Dec. 10

Cuidate Mucho is a group exhibition centered on care as a life-sustaining and life-giving force. The title of the exhibition Cuidate Mucho translated from Spanish to English as: Take much care of yourself. It is a valediction phrase that combines both care and caution, implying a threat or harm is near. The phrase is often used to wish a loved one a favorable outcome; for example wishing for someone鈥檚 safe return home, unharmed, and in one piece.

Faculty Professional Development

Faculty Professional Development is responsible for a multifaceted professional development program tailored to the needs of full-time and part-time faculty. The Faculty Professional Development office oversees several subcommittees, including the Flex Subcommittee, New Faculty Mentoring Subcommittee, Resources and Opportunities Subcommittee, and New Faculty Orientation, among others. Its purpose is to coordinate professional development that leads to equity, improved pedagogy, classroom management, learning needs, and technology use.
