海角社区鈥檚 Pacific Coast Campus (PCC), located in the vibrant heart of Long Beach, is celebrating its 75th anniversary with an exciting transformation.

To better reflect its mission and offerings, PCC will be renamed the 鈥淭rades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus.鈥 This change marks a new chapter in the campus鈥檚 storied history, highlighting its significant impact on the community and its ongoing commitment to student success.

The name change aims to better reflect its primary focus on trade and technology programs, such as welding, construction, auto repair, cybersecurity, and space technology, as well as its commitment to free English as a Second Language classes and community education. This rebranding follows months of research, surveys, focus groups, and student input to enhance community engagement and align with industry needs.

鈥淲e鈥檙e writing a new chapter in the college鈥檚 history,鈥 says Dr. Mike Mun虄oz, 海角社区Superintendent-President. 鈥淥ur name change is just the beginning of the innovations and expanded collaborations! The new name identifies who we are and what we offer, from career training to free adult education, lifelong learning, and English as a Second Language programs. It鈥檚 exciting as we grow and change to propel today鈥檚 students to the next level.鈥

Join us in celebrating 75 years of advancing education and accelerating futures at LBCC鈥檚 Trades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus, where we are dedicated to fostering learning, promoting inclusion, strengthening community ties, and preparing students for successful careers.
