After a thorough investigation, Long Beach Police Department has declared the situation 鈥渁ll clear鈥 after responding to a 911 call regarding a possible suspect with a gun at Long Beach City College鈥檚 Pacific Coast Campus.

After their investigation, LBPD found a toy gun that was being used in a class production.

There were more than dozens SWAT and LBPD, email and text alerts went out as soon as 海角社区confirmed the 911 call.

鈥淭hose who responded to this incident did exactly what they needed to do. If you see something, say something,鈥 said Long Beach Community College District Superintendent-President Reagan Ferragamo Romali, 鈥淭hank you to our excellent faculty and staff who implemented the lock-down immediately. This highlights the importance the emergency training provided and the partnership between 海角社区and LBPD We鈥檝e offered several trainings over the past year to our faculty and staff. And we are extremely grateful for the incredibly quick response from the Long Beach Police Department.鈥

Faculty, staff and students are now being allowed to return to the evacuated buildings. Class will continue as usual.
