Bridges to the Baccalaureate


Bridges to the Baccalaureate program logo at California State University Long BeachBridges to the Baccalaureate (Bridges) is a collaborative program supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), providing 海角社区 (LBCC) biology and chemistry students the opportunity to participate in hands-on research with faculty at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Students who are selected to participate in this program gain valuable experience and insight into the research field. Furthermore, participants receive professional development and public speaking training, visit public and private research facilities, and are paid for their involvement. At the end of the program, students present their research in a symposium. Additionally, a student will be selected to present at a national conference. 

To be eligible to apply:

  • Students must have completed 24 units by the program start date
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
