º£½ÇÉçÇønames Kristin Olson as Executive Director of Classified Human Resources

º£½ÇÉçÇø has hired Kristin Olson as its new Executive Director of Classified Human Resources.

In this role, Olson will oversee human resources management and employee relations programs for the College’s classified professionals, including recruitment, selection, employment, position classification, compensation and other services.

Olson will begin at º£½ÇÉçÇøon Oct. 16. She succeeds Monalisa Hasson, who recently left to become Vice President of Human Resources at Santa Barbara City College.

Olson comes to º£½ÇÉçÇøfrom the Santa Clara County Office of Education in San Jose, where she served in various director roles in Classified Personnel Services for more than 10 years. Prior to that, she has served in human resources positions at Bassett Unified School District in La Puente, and the Cooperative Organization for the Development of Employment Selection Procedures in Huntington Beach.

She has been involved in various professional organizations, including serving as President of the Board of Directors for the Cooperative Organization for the Development of Employment Selection (CODESP), Board Member for the Personnel Commissioners’ Association of Southern California, and in various roles in the Personnel Testing Council of Southern California, the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology, and the Western Region Intergovernmental Personnel Assessment Council.   

Olson holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from UCLA, a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from CSULB and a juris doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola Law School.
