海角社区Child Development Centers Obtain High Rankings

海角社区 Child Development Centers (CDC) and Learning Labs received high praise from the Quality Start Los Angeles. Both the Liberal Arts and Pacific Coast Campus CDCs were ranked a very high level of four out of five tiers.

鈥淲e are so proud of our Center managers and teaching teams for their ongoing dedication and professionalism,鈥 said Gene Carbonaro, who oversees the CDCs as the Dean of the School of Career Technical Education. 鈥淚t was amazing to have a professional organization come out to validate the great work we do here every day.鈥

Quality Start Los Angeles is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system designed to help parents choose the best early childhood education for their family.

Standards are based on seven elements of the . Points are accumulated for each of the elements and the total amount of points determines the tier rating. Once rated, early learning programs such as LBCC鈥檚 receive specialized support aligned with their particular rating such as coaching, classroom tools, resources, training, and financial incentives that help improve their program鈥檚 quality.

The CDC ranking follows the recent announcement that 海角社区CDC teacher Mark Marano was named Early Educator of the Year by Child360. This made Marano the third 海角社区teacher in four years to be honored with the award.
